What Are Your Goals?
Congratulations on thinking about adding real estate into your investment portfolio. Perhaps you are a fan of “million dollar listing” or you have been to a seminar on investing in real estate. Regardless of the reason, congratulations on taking the next step into researching investment properties.
When I sit down with my clients I always ask “What is your goal?” One of the habits of highly successful people (Stephan Covey) is “Begin with the end in mind.” It is important to know what the end result will be.
- Are you looking for a strong positive cash flow property?
- Are you looking for a big increase in value?
- Do you want to pay off three homes and live off of the rent in retirement?
- Do you want to learn property management or you don’t want to get involved in management at all?
These are all great goals. It is important to know where you want to end up so that we can plan the right strategy for you.
